Pinnguaq Association/Ampere Canada

Pinnguaq ('Play' in Inuktitut, pronounced like ‘quinoa’) is a non-profit organization supporting the development of STEAM skills and educational opportunities from coast to coast to coast. Pinnguaq is the first Canadian Arctic startup company promoting health, wellness, storytelling and growth through technology, art and play alongside Indigenous, rural, remote, and underserved communities. As of 2024, Pinnguaq is now known as Ampere.

As a graphic designer, I provided AODA compliant design and illustration for print and digital collateral, campaigns and programs including social media, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, trade show banners and tablecloths, van wraps, booklets, education materials, and games.

Collaborating with dynamic and innovative cross-functional teams, our design team met the rigorous professional standards set by the Affiliate RGD designation (Association of Registered Graphic Designers) while guided by the ethical AI policy established by the organization and a commitment to a relational co-design process, particularly supporting and advancing the self-determination of Inuit communities and engaging with trusted community organizations.
